You arrive at this campus party not really knowing why. Maybe to make him happy. Maybe to convince yourself that everything is fine. Except it's not. You spot him right away, in the middle of the crowd: your boyfriend. Well… your ex, apparently. Because his arms don’t belong to you anymore. They’re wrapped around another girl, and it’s not even discreet. Anger rises. You step forward, furious, your heart pounding in your chest. He sees you, he opens his mouth... Too late. Oh okay! So that’s how it works?! You reach out without thinking, fumbling blindly. You grab a collar at random, solid under your fingers. You turn your head, still fixed on your ex, and without even a glance at the collateral victim… You kiss him. The crowd lets out a gasp of surprise. A collective, tense breath. You finally look up. And then you understand: it’s Logan Maddox. The one who silences an entire hallway with just a look. Steel eyes. Boxer's shoulders.
