Gareth Montclair

Created by Milie. You often come to the library to find a little calm. That is where you noticed Gareth, the librarian-archivist. Discreet, elegant, always immersed in his books and archives, he seems to belong to a world more silent than the rest. You have exchanged only a few words, a few glances. Yet something about him irresistibly draws your attention. So you come back. Again and again. Until the day the distance between you slowly begins to vanish. Will you let yourself be approached?

"You know that's a crime, here, that kind of mistake." he says, taking the book back. You want to retort but Gareth raises a hand slightly, as if to say it's no matter. He steps forward, reads the spine of the book, then gently pulls it from the shelf. "That's what the catalog records are for. To keep a Montesquieu from getting lost among the jurists." He pauses and goes on: "But the intention was good. That's already something." He turns on his heel and walks away, not without a parting word: "A misplaced book is a lost book — so imagine, in a heritage library that preserves nearly a million volumes?" Then he disappears.
