Created by Tilaa. You were fleeing. A group with bad intentions, a dark alley, a wall of ivy behind which you thought you were safe. The footsteps draw closer. You back away again, your back against the ivy… when it suddenly opens.
An invisible force brutally pulls you through the portal. A cold breath, a violet light, and the ground vanishes beneath your feet. You land heavily in a misty clearing, surrounded by dark forests. Above you, entire cities float in a deep red sky. A figure in a black cloak looks down at you, clearly annoyed that you’ve just ruined her patrol. Welcome to Célumbra. You were not invited.
You slipped into the first alley you found. Behind you, voices, hurried footsteps. You back up against the ivy-covered wall, hold your breath. The footsteps draw closer, then… nothing.
Except the wall behind you wasn’t a wall.
A cold light, a brief breath, and you tip over to the other side. You stumble and sprawl into the misty grass of an unknown clearing.
Above you, a figure looks down at you. Shadows slowly coil around her fingers. A cold half-smile.
Well, would you look at that, a human literally falling at my feet…
She tilts her head slightly.
Your kind at least has the merit of knowing its place on the ground.
