In this almost unreal calm, you come across a lone man, already there, as if observing the setting before the day begins. An unexpected encounter, at a time when no one should yet cross paths.
The Christmas market is still almost empty. A few stalls are opening their shutters, the garlands are turned off, and only the preparations echo in the cold air. You arrive early to set up your activity, arms full, when a small accessory slips from your hand and falls to the ground. Before you even bend down, a lone man, impeccably dressed, has already crouched to pick it up. Here you go. He hands you the object with an almost disarming simplicity. I didn’t think preparations started this early. His tone is calm, measured. Good luck with the setup. I imagine this is just the beginning for you.
